As part of the trade agreement the EU has agreed to recognise the UK as equivalent for organics until 2025.<\/p>\n

The EU organic logo can be used for the duration of the organic arrangements.<\/p>\n

You can continue to use the existing codes of the form \u201cGB-ORG-06\u201d.<\/p>\n

You will need to use the TRACESNT system to create a certificate of inspection which will be verified by the BDA Certification office.<\/p>\n

IMPORT FROM THE EU<\/h4>\n

For now, organic products can be imported into the UK from the EU and EEA countries without using the GB paper-based certificate of inspection (COI).<\/p>\n

The new GB Import system of paper-based certificate of inspection (COI) will be required for all imports from the EU and EEA countries from 2026.<\/p>\n

IMPORT TO UK FROM OUTSIDE THE EU<\/h4>\n

Importers will need to use the new GB import system of paper-based certificates of inspection.<\/p>\n

EXPORTING\u00a0 OUTSIDE THE EU<\/h4>\n

There will be no significant changes to the current arrangements.<\/p>\n

Use GB-ORG-06 code with UK\/non UK agriculture statement.<\/p>\n

EU leaf logo is optional.<\/p>\n

For all exports to the non-EU countries we advise keeping updated with GOV.UK and checking with the organic authority in the export market whether labels\/certification will be accepted.<\/p>\n

UK - EU Trade agreement recognises the UK as equivalent for organics until 31 December 2023<\/h3>\r\n

From the 1st<\/sup> January 2021 there will be changes to labelling and import\/export systems.<\/p>\r\n

As part of the trade agreement the EU has now agreed to recognise the UK as equivalent for organics until 31 December 2023.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n

The EU organic logo can be used for the duration of the organic arrangements.<\/p>\r\n

You can continue to use the existing codes of the form \u201cGB-ORG-06\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n

For the UK Market<\/strong> there is a 21-month transition period for labelling, so operators must ensure their labels meet the new labelling requirements by 30th September 2022 at the latest.<\/p>\r\n
