Out of these principles our standards are designed to support farmers, processors and traders in developing their business in sustainable ways, focusing on quality and value with the aim of care and stewardship for people and the planet.
For more than 50 years BDA Certification has been assuring quality practice in biodynamic food and farming. Since the 1990’s, when the European organic standards were established, BDA Certification has also been offering certification to organic standards alongside the more demanding Demeter – biodynamic standards.
We don’t see certification as simply a box ticking exercise in bureaucracy but a way that we can help our licensees think through their business, their practice and organisation and see ways in which they can do better. Meeting our standards demonstrates to consumers how your principles are working in your business.
